Could it be True, ABNP Gets and Takes from Knox County?

I have been told today that the Alliance for Better Non Profits is in a Tax Free Building, PLUS we know they got $3,119.50 for a County Commission retreat facilitation.

Next week I will request the documents. However, I have it by good authority that the Regas Building that the ABNP is housed in is tax free. So, Knox County receives no revenue for that property. In addition, to a tax free building. Knox County’s Stormwater Department pays membership dues and a recent retreat. Knox County Health Department has paid fees and a retreat to ABNP.

Now, Knox County Commission pays $3,119.50 for a retreat. While Commissioner Larsen Jay is on the ABNP Board, he (the organizer) did not seek a competitive process for the retreat facilitation.

All of them at the $4,300 retreat.
