The lawsuit filed by former Roane County attorney Tom McFarland on behalf of several Knox County citizens is about the UOPP Uniformed Officers Pension Plan.

It asks the court to answer the question that has been litigated and that the Knox County Commission and Knox County Mayor put to bed with litigants several months ago.

It is about the calculation of unused sick time at retirement.
