I was honored to accept an invitation from the Loudon County Republican Party to speak about how Republican candidates qualify for placement on the Republican Party ballot in 2026—and, just as importantly, how candidates may be removed from that ballot under party rules.
I have served on the Tennessee Republican Party State Executive Committee since August 2021 and was elected by District 6 in 2022. Since 2022, I have also worked closely with the party’s Bylaws Committee. Through this experience, I have gained a thorough understanding of the procedures, rules, and safeguards that govern candidate qualification and removal within the Republican Party.
The discussion with Loudon County Republicans provided an opportunity to explain these processes clearly and answer questions about how party rules are applied in real-world situations.
You can watch the Loudon County Republican Party meeting from January 17, 2026, to hear the full discussion.
