A Message from Knox County Trustee Justin Biggs: Commitment to Transparency and Accountability

Knoxville, TN — In the spirit of openness and integrity that I committed to while seeking office, I want to address the recent review carried out by the Comptroller’s Office into the Trustee’s Office. Over the past two weeks, their thorough examination has revealed an unfortunate breach to our policies. Due to this, we have terminated one employee at this point.

As your Trustee, I am dedicated to ensuring that our operations are conducted ethically and transparently.

The cooperation with the Comptroller’s Office will continue as their review progresses. I assure you, the citizens, that I will persist in maintaining transparency throughout this process and beyond. My commitment to open and honest governance is unwavering, and I am thankful for your continued trust and support during this time.

While we are unable to provide further details until the review concludes, please know that my priority remains serving Knox County with integrity and dedication. Thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate these challenges together.
