This Friday June 21, 2013 is the official start of Summer. Something about the longest day of the year, summer solstice. The 2014 campaign season is beginning with an some folks beginning to make their candidacy known.

Jason Zachary has been doing some preliminary work in creating a campaign for Congress in TN’s Second District. In February he filed the necessary paperwork to be a candidate.

Zachary has assembled a core group of volunteers and has a web presence. He understands that he is the David to the proverbial Goliath with the incumbent. He is not phased and he is not scared at that prospect.

He recently spoke at an event that I attended, I was unaware that he was the featured speaker, although that would not have kept me away. Recently, he and I sat down to talk and he is a bright, young business entrepreneur.
