Breaking News: Sheriffs Office Contract Short?

Reported By

Reported On

Sources say that a contract with a Knox County Sheriff’s Office vendor is significantly short on a contractual obligation. To the tune of $40,000 or more, I am told.

Additionally, I am told that a former high ranking department official had communicated with the company that the obligation had been forgiven. That official has reportedly retired and KCSO are now seeking the money that it was contractually obligated to receive.

I have text messaged Sheriff Tom Spangler and Communications Director Kimberly Glenn, when they respond, I will update this story.   When Sheriff Spangler was made aware of the contractual issue he notified the law director. The Law Director is actively working with the vendor to seek a resolution.
