Tomorrow 8/27/2015 at 5:30 p.m. the Center City Conservatives Republican Club will have their monthly meeting. This month the club features the City of Knoxville 2015 candidates. The City of Knoxville elections are non partisan. Early Voting September 9-24, 2015 with the Primary Election on September 29, 2015. The meeting time is an hour earlier than the clubs normal meeting time to accommodate the schedule of the candidates, due to a South Knoxville forum tomorrow night.

Mayor Madeline Rogero has an event in Oak Ridge and has indicated that if she leaves there on time and traffic is accommodating she will attend. Other candidates that have indicated they intend to attend and will take 3-5 minutes to introduce themselves to the club are. City Councilman at Large George Wallace, City Councilman at Large Marshall Stair, City Councilman at Large Finbarr Saunders along with City Councilman at Large candidates Kelly Absher, Paul Bonovich and David Williams. Also, City Councilman Fifth District Mark Campen has indicated his intent to attend. Due to the extremely tight schedule of the candidates, no questions will be asked of the candidates.

Candidates Pete Drew and Jennifer Mirtes have NOT indicated their intent to attend or if they have conflicts, that prohibit them from attending.

The club will conduct it’s normal business following the departure of the City of Knoxville candidates to head to the South Knoxville Community Forum.
