Clayton Wood’s Observation on the Fifth District Commission Race and One Campaign

Reported On

My friend Clayton Wood posted an observation of one of the five candidates in the Fifth District Knox County Commission race. He was referring to this video interview of the candidate Wood is referring too that has been posted online.

Wood wrote “The Candidate brought up infrastructure and claims expertise in that area based on being a real estate appraiser.

Interestingly, at 5 minutes into the interview she brings up flooding issues for a neighborhood below Choto Landings and brags about stopping the development.

You may be interested to know that the flooding problems would have been remediated by the Choto Landings development (an expensive and important part of the developer requirements that I support). Instead, the project was stopped and the flooding problems remains.

So in the instant case, the expert of a flooding and infrastructure problem stopped a solution to it, so that she wouldn’t have to see outdoor garages next to self storage, wine bar and hot wings shop”….

The candidate is one of five candidates seeking a position that only one can win. Also in the race are Brian Walker, Toni Scott, Brad Hall and Dale Skidmore.
