Knoxville, Tenn. — Knox County Commissioner Brandon Huckaby has submitted Resolution 26-10-904 for consideration, requesting a public hearing on whether Alex Moody should be removed from the Knox County Board of Zoning Appeals.
Huckaby has also submitted proposed written charges to fellow commissioners.
The charges ask the Commission to consider the public allegations through a fair process and make any decision based on evidence.
“This is a request for a public hearing, not a request to prejudge the outcome,” Huckaby said. “A police citation or news report is not proof. Mr. Moody deserves notice and a meaningful opportunity to respond before the Commission takes formal action.”
The resolution asks the Commission to consider removal only if, after a hearing, it finds the charged conduct occurred without legal justification and constitutes sufficient cause under the applicable removal provisions. A copy of the proposed charges are available for public review from the Commission office.
