Community Rallies Behind Sheriff Jack Stockton at Kingston Campaign Kickoff, Stockton Endorsed by Former Rep. Kent Calfee

In the heart of Kingston, Tennessee, the air was buzzing with excitement this evening as residents from Loudon and Roane Counties packed into Lola’s Industrial Venue on Race Street—conveniently nestled right next door to the Roane County Courthouse. It was more than just a gathering; it was a show of unity and support for a local leader stepping up to another level.

The spotlight was firmly on Roane County Sheriff Jack Stockton, who’s throwing his hat into the ring for the Republican nomination in Tennessee’s 32nd State House District. With his proven track record in law enforcement, Stockton is aiming to bring that same dedication to the state legislature, and the crowd was there to cheer him on every step of the way.

The event also served as a heartfelt tribute to the legacy of former State Representative Kent Calfee and his wife, Marilyn, whose years of service to the community were honored with warm applause and fond reminiscences. In a powerful moment, Rep. Calfee himself stepped forward to endorse Sheriff Stockton for the seat, passing the torch to a fellow public servant he trusts to carry on the work.

Adding to the evening’s prestige, a who’s who of local and state officials turned out in force. Attendees included State Senator Ken Yager, Roane County Sheriff candidate Tim Phillips, Roane County Executive Wade Creswell, Loudon County Sheriff Jimmy Davis, former Loudon County Sheriff Tim Guider, and Lenoir City Councilman James Brandon. Special shoutout to Lenoir City Mayor Tony Aikens, who stepped up as a sponsor for this kickoff event, helping make it all possible.

As the night wrapped up, the energy was palpable—a clear sign that Stockton’s campaign is off to a strong start. For those inspired to get involved, mark your calendars: the filing deadline for the race is noon on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
