Knox County Criminal Court Division I Judge Steve Sword was promoted to Court of Criminal Appeals by Tennessee Governor Bill Lee. Now, the Trial Court Vacancy Committee are accepting applications through May 14 and will have interviews on June 17 to recommend 3 candidates to Tennessee Governor Lee to interview and appoint one to the Judge position replacing Judge Sword. That Judge would then face election in 2026.
This evening, the Concord Farragut Republican Club allowed anyone thinking of or applying for the position, to come introduce themselves.
