Could a Williamson County Inquiry Outcome, Ripple Over Into Knox County?

This story from the Tennessean today could have ripple effects into Knox County. Williamson County School Board District 12 Member Susan Curlee has filed an inquiry with the state campaign ethics agency. In the inquiry the board member is alleging a group that participated in political gamesmanship failed to register as a PAC. In the inquiry, more than 100 pages of emails, screen shots etc have been presented. The group apparently was supportive of the Superintendent.

So, that brings questions about the Knox County SPEAK group along with Mayor Tim Burchett and the group of cronies that supported Jamie Rowe. That political activity included robo phone calls and political activity in opposing Dr. James P. McInytre, Jr. and the perception that board members that are not in opposition to the Superintendent are tax raising, rubber stamps of the Super.

Of course, Burchett is no stranger to questions and inquiries of campaign irregularities having appeared before the campaign ethics agency not once but twice on questions of campaign finance irregularities. First time he had the golly, jee, wiz I didn’t know. The second time he threw his estranged now divorced wife Allison Burchett under the bus. What defense would he employ now? The Publisher made me do it?
