Gerald Witt over at the Big Metal Shed on the Hill has this story (subscription required) about a bill that Rep. Bill Dunn has in the legislature.

I am really perplexed as to why Amy Broyles of the Knox County Commission is the quoted one opposing the bill. But, since she is here goes. Broyles had no problem with Martha Boggs the owner of the Bistro at the Bijou refusing service to State Senator Stacey Campfield. Because he was in Boggs and Boggs friends mind “anti gay”. Senator Campfield didn’t have a problem either, he and individuals like him that do not believe in the tactics of Boggs and her ” Jim Crow” approach to patron service simply go somewhere else to eat.

Now, a bill comes along to protect everyone and Broyles gets her panties in a wad. Campfield’s opponent apparently believes in Boggs refusing of service to someone based on their beliefs and ideology, because he utilized her facility to accept trial lawyer checks and cash.

So, there is hypocrisy defined.
