Exploring Knoxville’s History: Local Lore Fall Sessions Kick Off

On Sunday, September 28, 2025, the fall sessions of Local Lore Knoxville launched, inviting history enthusiasts to dive into the rich stories of Downtown Knoxville. The evening began at 6 PM at the corner of W Jackson Avenue and Gay Street, where participants embarked on a guided walking tour through the heart of the city.   You can follow the walk here.

Led by our knowledgeable historical hostess, Jennifer Montgomery, Principal Broker of Wallace Real Estate in Downtown Knoxville, the tour traced a path from W Jackson Avenue to Broadway, looping back to Gay Street and concluding at Central Avenue. Jennifer shared captivating tales of Knoxville’s past, bringing the city’s historic streets to life with her expertise and passion for local lore.
