Susan Horn, a cousin to newly elected State Rep. Jason Zachary is a candidate. It is interesting that when Zachary challenged Congressman John J. Duncan, Jr. last year, he called the Duncan family as part of the permanent political class. The perception today is that Zachary even before the first day of his first legislative session has begun building his own version of a Zachary permanent political class. It is expected that Horn has secured the same support that the four members of the school board that have been on an anti McIntyre bent possess.
Reuben (Buddy) Pelot, the adult son of Former City Councilwoman Barbara Pelot is a candidate. It is expected that Pelot has secured the same support that the five members of the school board that have been on a pro McIntyre bent possess. Interesting that Pelot’s mother as a City Councilwoman revealed that the City of Knoxville through its annexation practices where doing so in violation of state law. See the video below.
