Based on some previous post it could be misinterpreted that Brian’s Blog or myself (Brian Hornback) is anti-Pilot or anti-Haslam. Nothing could be further from the truth. You can find me nearly everyday inside a Pilot store in the morning getting a cup of coffee or in the afternoon getting a diet coke. When I travel to our neighboring southern states, I plan my stops based on the location of the Pilot Travel Centers.

On the previous posts Brian’s Blog was responding and researching the issue of the Knox County School Board Chair’s comment that the anonymous donor was “someone not connected to schools.” Our only intent in researching this issue to death was to expose the cover up by the board chair.

Brian’s Blog wishes that the Board had come right out at the beginning, when we asked, when WBIR asked and when Lola Alapo of the News-Sentinel asked and said that the airplane trip was donated by Pilot Corporation or the Haslam family and all would have been well.

In this new era of Knox County government, where everything is open and transparent. Where Commissioners are not allowed to simply call one another to see if 6:00 p.m. is better than 7:00 p.m for a forum. Where everyone city, county, school board, town of farragut, mpc needs to be open and transparent. Then everybody needs to be open and transparent.
