Gov. Lee Announces Key Judicial Appointment – Jennifer Covellis

Today Friday May 8, 2026, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced the appointment of Jennifer Covellis to the Chancery Court for the 26th Judicial District.

“I am proud to announce the appointment of Jennifer Covellis, and value the significant experience she brings to the bench,” said Gov. Lee. “I appreciate Jennifer’s willingness to lead and am confident she will serve Tennesseans with integrity.”

Jennifer Covellis currently serves as an attorney at Karnes Legal Services. Covellis earned her bachelor’s degree at Rhodes College and juris doctor at Mississippi College School of Law. The 26th Judicial District covers Chester, Henderson, and Madison counties, and Covellis has been appointed to the position, effective immediately.
