Today, United States Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) released the following statement on the U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation calling for the release of the Epstein files:

“From day one, I have called for full transparency on the investigation into the criminal actions of Jeffrey Epstein. Democrats held power in Washington for four years during the Biden administration, having the full capacity to release the files, yet they are now focused on this issue out of political convenience to distract the American public from the longest government shutdown in history they forced upon the American people and their laundry list of failures this year.

“The American people overwhelmingly voted for President Donald Trump last November for many reasons, one of which was to restore their faith in our justice system by bringing full transparency and accountability to criminals in our nation. President Trump supports the release of these files, as do I.”
