This from WATE this evening. The facts are the school board was informed they could build a 2000 student school for $40.0 million dollars. There are no more dollars for cost overruns.

A majority of the school board set precedent when the cost overruns for Cedar Bluff Primary were take from funds that were allocated for Cedar Bluff Intermediate. This high school must be built for 2000 and the $6.0 million in cost overruns must come from the next project behind it. Powell Middle. School Board Member-Elect Thomas Deakins was quick to leave comments on the Friday post. Brian’s Blog responded immediately and clarified Mr. Deakins comment. Brian’s Blog put a shout out to Deakins on this additional post on Sunday August 6, 2006 at 5:47 pm regarding a School System decision involving his district.

Deakins has not responded, Brian’s Blog was contacted today by multiple media sources concerning the School system’s decision to rid the Hardin Valley community of its landmarks.
