Shawn Hatmaker owner of Freedom Strategies and policy advisor to conservative elected officials predicted Tuesday morning that Jason Zachary would lose his bid for Caucus Chairman. Hatmaker stated “The Republican Caucus is looking for a Chairman who exemplifies wisdom, maturity, and sincerity.”

While Tennessee has had a Republican majority in the State House for nearly a decade Hatmaker states “this is the first real opportunity for Conservatives to move the ball into the end-zone on policy items like school choice, pro-life issues, and economic opportunities for the middle class.”

Hatmaker further stated “We need a Chairman who will put policy above personal ambition. We need a Chairman who will work to do the right thing regardless of the political ramifications. Cameron Sexton is that man.”
