Is cronyism Alive and Well on the Knox County Commission?

Only 15 days in and the South Knox County Commissioner is rewarding his campaign treasurer with an appointment to replace himself on an appointed board. Apparently ignoring the two other candidates that the South Knox County area actually voted for, James Brandon Hamilton or Tom Pierce.

Does the path to Commissioner begin with the Board of Zoning Appeals? Is it the cronyism of you scratch my back, I will scratch your back?
