It is Funny How a Snow Event Affects The Schedule

As January 2013 began it seemed like everything was being scheduled and happening on Thursday January 17, 2013. First, Superintendent Dr. James McIntyre announced that he would be in Powell delivering his State of the Schools Address. Then, Farragut High School Open House got on the calendar. Then, the Knox County Republican Party set the precinct reorganizations for 7 p.m. that night. Then the friends of the National Rifle Association set a dinner for out of Merchants Road. Also, a recent book study that I began happens on Thursday nights. So, as the build up to January 17 approached. I was thinking, how can I do it all? Well, as you know and we all know now. The snow began mid day and thankfully Thursday night was an evening at home. So, all is well.
