KnoxNews Sentinel’s Megan Boehnke reported today that John Whitehead’s other opponent the Chief Deputy of Property Assessor Phil Ballard has finally said 24 days after a majority of the voters selected John Whitehead as the next Property Assessor that he will not contest the voters choice.

Whitehead’s other opponent Andrew Graybeal immediately called Whitehead and congratulated him. Ballard’s Chief Deputy has still not called Whitehead, only the News Sentinel.
