Earlier this month Knox County Commission selected and appointed Judson “Judd” Davis to the Knox County General Sessions Judge Division II. Today, he was sworn in by Knox County Circuit Court Judge Deborah Stevens.

Presumably he will take the bench Tuesday January 4, 2022, Judge Geoff Emery is to retire on Friday December 31, 2021.

In the courtroom were Davis family including his wife’s mother, a few close friends. Knox County Property Assessor John Whitehead and Assessor Chief Deputy Jackie Raley. Knox County Clerk Sherry Witt and Knox County Register of Deeds Nick McBride.
