KCS to Celebrate Teach Knox Night with the Tennessee Smokies

UPDATE: Because of last night’s rainout, the Smokies will play a double-header todayThe first game has been moved up an hour and will now start at1:00 p.m. Our KCS employees will have access to both games.

Original: Knox County Schools is excited to celebrate educators and employees with a night at the ball park – Teach Knox Night with the Tennessee Smokies.

All KCS employees will receive free admission to the 2 p.m. game on Sunday, August 24, by showing their KCS ID at the gate. Families and friends are encouraged to join; additional tickets may be purchased at the box office to ensure groups can sit together. Children ages four and up will need a ticket.

This event is made possible through a partnership between Knox County Schools and the UTK Bailey Graduate College of Education.

Teach Knox is a comprehensive KCS strategy for recruiting, supporting, and developing educators to uphold the district’s priority of placing great teachers in every classroom.

Staff from the KCS Business & Talent Division and several teachers will be available for media interviews.
