The Knox County Board of Health met this evening. Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs asked that Randy Burleson of Aubrey’s Family of Restaurants be allowed to speak and answer any questions (if there were any) the Board did hear from Mr. Burleson. It is my opinion, that because of Burleson’s advocacy on behalf of the Knox County restauranteurs that the capacity was moved up and the closing time moved up from what was originally proposed.

The new requirements from Wednesday November 25 until December 23, 2020 are;

Restaurants will be required to seat 50% its capacity.

Restaurants will close at 10 p.m., after 10 p.m. they can serve Drive-Thru, Curbside Pickup or Delivery.

NO more than 8 persons, (not in the same household) at a table.
