The Knox County Merit System Council met for less than two minutes yesterday afternoon. Took me longer to park and I am a damn good parallel parking driver.

Anyway, the Knox County Sheriff’s legal counsel Gary Prince asked for a reset. He no showed for the meeting yesterday. The grieving employee’s legal counsel also did not attend. However, they both sent the week of October 11 as an option for a rescheduled hearing.

When the council met, they realized that the week the Attorneys suggested is the week of Knox County School’s Fall Break. So, the council reset it for the week of October 18, 2021. The Merit System Executive Director will communicate with both Attorneys and see what day that week works.

I hope that when I examine the bill of the Sheriff’s legal counsel (cause it is the taxpayers money) that he doesn’t bill for July 19, 2021. I will be watching.

So the Martha Dooley hearing is sometime week of October 18. Anybody wanna buy my lunch this Thursday or Friday, cause those days I am now not attending the scheduled grievance hearing. darn it.
