This afternoon, Democrat Caleb Hemmer, opponent to Michelle Foreman, my current Republican State Executive Committee colleague is in Knoxville raising dollars. Foreman -v- Hemmer is a November General Election contest for TN State House District 59.

Total votes cast in the August 4, 2022 Republican primary between Foreman and her opponent were 5,434. Total votes cast for Hemmer in his uncontested Democrat primary were 5,246. So the Dems must smell a potential victory. NOT SO FAST.

According to multiple sources the fundraiser was originally planned for WATE political talking head Cortney Piper’s office Piper Communications. But, I am told it has been moved to Wayne Ritchie’s office.

Y’all send that money to Nashville, we can double down there and it will be less for you to use here in the river city.
