Knoxville (Knox County) has a Federated Republican Women Club. Yesterday May 6 was the first meeting. The Facebook page is located here.
The difference in a Federated club from any other club is they are chartered by the National Federated Republican Women and work in partnership with the Tennessee Federated Republican Women. They are a part of the Tennessee Republican Party and the local county party.
They work to build and maintain the party with hard work, making voter contacts and supporting the party and Republican elected officials.
At yesterday’s meeting Tennessee Lt. Gov. Randy McNally, Tennessee State Senator Becky Duncan Massey, Tennessee State Representative and State House Deputy Speaker Jason Zachary, Knox County Commissioner Angela Russell and Tennessee Republican Party State Executive Committeeman District 6 Brian Hornback.
The clubs President Lori, Vice Presidents Olivia and Liz, Treasurer Pat and Recording Secretary Carol were all installed by Tennessee Federated Republican Women President Sharon Boreing. The attendance at this inaugural meeting exceeded 36 people.
