This evening, the Knoxville Federated Republican Women held their third official meeting since organizing—and momentum is clearly building. With more than 30 individuals in attendance, the room was filled with energy, engagement, and a clear commitment to action.
Among the notable guests were State Representative Elaine Davis, State Senator Becky Duncan Massey, and Emily Abbott—one of the three finalists for Governor Bill Lee’s appointment to fill the Knox County Criminal Court Judge Division I vacancy. Of course TN Republican Party State Executive Committeeman District 6 Brian Hornback was present.
The evening’s featured speaker, Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, delivered a timely and thought-provoking message. He addressed a growing concern: complacency among Republican voters. Jacobs warned that the strength of the Republican Super Majority in Tennessee may be lulling voters into a false sense of security—something that could undermine future election efforts.
Mayor Jacobs also spoke about shifts within local government. He noted that while the Knox County Commission previously had just 2 Democrats among 11 members, that number has now risen to 3. Jacobs emphasized that while those Democratic commissioners are good individuals, they represent constituencies that are increasingly pushing them further to the left.
The takeaway from the evening was clear: the work isn’t done. Grassroots energy, voter engagement, and continued conservative involvement are more critical than ever.

Jacobs Video Description
At the July 1, 2025 meeting of the Knoxville Federated Republican Women, Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs delivered a candid message about the state of Republican voter engagement. Jacobs warned that the Super Majority in Tennessee has created a dangerous sense of complacency among voters—one that could hurt future elections.
He emphasized the importance of investing in grassroots campaigning, including door-to-door outreach and digital advertising. Jacobs reflected on his own narrow 2018 primary win—by just 23 votes—and noted how consistent messaging on platforms like The Mega Bullhorn of Truth (BrianHornback.com) from July 2017 to August 2018 helped drive awareness and support.
