I am really wondering why the weekend jump by Senator Lamar Alexander to announce his campaign leadership team for his re-election in 2014. The November 6, 2012 isn’t even a full month behind us and Lamar! is naming his re-election team.

He has Congressman John J. Duncan, Jr. as Chairman and then nearly everyone else as campaign co-chairs. Fellow recently re-elected Senator Bob Corker, Governor Bill Haslam, Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey, Speaker Beth Harwell and all the Republican Congressional members (minus Rep. Scott DesJarlais).

In a related or maybe unrelated news. TN State Executive Committee this weekend selected TN Republican Party Chairman Chris Devaney to another two year term. Apparently, no one challenged Devaney. I assume Gary Loe didn’t show up to testify.
