At Thursday night’s meeting of the Center City Conservatives Republican Club, Knox County Commissioner At-Large Larsen Jay made a noteworthy announcement — and yes, you can watch the full, unedited video [here], not any clipped versions floating around from “loe down” or other mystery editors.
According to Jay, Juvenile Court Judge Tim Irwin has finalized appointments to the new five-member Knox County Juvenile Center Board. Joining the board is none other than Commissioner Rhonda Lee, alongside Commissioners Terry Hill, Larsen Jay, Shane Jackson, and Damon Rawls.
Here’s the twist: Commissioner Lee was previously rejected by her fellow commissioners back on January 23, 2025. But Judge Irwin exercised his authority — and judgment — by adding her to the board anyway, recognizing the value she brings.
Irwin made the right call — because he could.
