Thursday night was the dueling fundraisers, Knox County Mayor Candidate Glenn Jacobs had Ric Flair at the Cherokee Country Club.

Knox County Mayor Candidate Bob Thomas had a fundraiser scheduled for Villa Collina, Knoxville’s largest house. He had the Chillbillies. In addition, he had his son fly in from Los Angeles, CA and bring a couple of his actor friends.

They started with a lunch event at Vol Market where County Mayor Tim Burchett provided county proclamations. Apparently, Burchett likes Thomas, because there was no Flair proclamation.

In addition to lunch the actors were at the Thursday Thomas event which was attended by between 150-175 people. Also, a Friday night event at the Old City’s Crown and Goose where a younger more hip crowd attended. Pictured below Ted and Carla Hatfield with the three actor visitors.
