Law Director Throws In Towel on Merit System Ordinance

This morning Knox County Law Director David Buuck has informed the Knox County Commission and requested that his ordinance be withdrawn.

He says in the memo it is because he doesn’t believe the ordinance has 8 votes to pass. How does he know that? Have the Commissioners informed Buuck of their debate to a conclusion and their intended vote? Is Buuck concerned of the TN Attorney Generals Opinion?

I guess we will never know.
