My friend Walt Wojnar invited me to be his guest at The Kiwansis Club of Northside of Knoxville today during lunch. The club was joining with Downtown Sertoma for the program and that was to hear from Knoxville Businessman and Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in TN Second Congressional District, Jimmy Matlock.

Someone asked Matlock about the latest Victor Ashe column in the daily newspaper. Before he answered he asked for everyone that has read today’s paper to raise their hands, out of 40 plus people about 7 raised their hands. He then asked for a show of hands of all the people that had received mail from him this week, nearly every hand went up.

Matlock said that he had not read or seen this weeks Ashe column but it he would guess it was probably similar to the last three weeks before. Matlock then talked about the mail and politics as it has become. Matlock was very well received.
