I have known of Sen. Frank Niceley from many years. One of my political mentors the late State Rep. Loy Smith represented the Mascot community where Sen. Niceley’s parents farm was located. When former State Rep. Jimmy Kyle Davis succeeded Smith, there were more than one event on the Niceley farm for Davis.

My wife has also known Sen. Frank Niceley and his wife for a number of years due to the close proximity of a farm she grew up on and the Niceley farm.

When another mentor, the late former Property Assessor and former State Rep. Park M. ”Parkey” Strader served as my 14th State Legislative District Representative. Strader and Niceley rented apartments across the hall from one another.

This years commercials calling Sen. Niceley liberal is laugh out loud hilarious. Sen. Niceley like me can be called a lot of things, rightly or wrongly. But liberal and spending of government funds needlessly is not who Niceley is.

Niceley is not a political pole climber! One that climbs the political pole achieving appointments and accolades to pad a political resume for an eventual run for elected office.

Early Voting is going on through July 27 with Election Day on Thursday August 1. Those in State Senate District 8 (Claiborne, Grainger, Hancock, Jefferson, Sevier and Union Counties) VOTE REPUBLICAN and VOTE NICELEY for State Senate. It is the only Nice and Best thing to do.
