Yesterday morning a black bear was checking out the sights and sounds of Hollywood and Papermill. Early this morning it is expected that he ventured onto the interstate near 640 and I-40 and was hit and killed.

Last Summer, I saw the black bear that kept everyone looking for him several days around Western Avenue and 640. I have also seen black bears running through Downtown Asheville, NC.

They haven’t asked to be run out of their habitat, so in my opinion, this is a sad story. Rest In Peace Black Bear!
