R. Larry Smith criticized me yesterday for sending a letter stating facts concerning Chad Tindell’s inability to garner enough votes to win two separate elections. R. Larry says that I am single handily tearing down the Republican Party. I appreciate his vote of confidence in my abilities to achieve a monumental task. However, it should be noted that when the current Commissioner and former Knox County Republican Chairman know as R. Larry Smith had a chance to vote for and appoint two good Republicans (Logan Brummitt and Walter Wojnar) to the Fourth District Commission seats. He didn’t. He voted for Democrat Elaine Davis twice.

I have NEVER endorsed a Democrat while I was Chairman or since I served as Chairman. Chief Hypocrite R. Larry Smith voted for a Democrat twice.

UPDATE: Sources indicate that there appears to be a few members of the Halls Republican Club that will ask for the club to vote on R. Larry Smith’s credentials as a Republican. Based on his casting a vote for a Democrat instead of two solid, good Republicans.
