Late last week, former Third District Knoxville City Council Woman Brenda Palmer passed from this world. Palmer served for two terms, eight years prior to Council woman Seema Singh.

She like Singh was never overly partisan. She was a Democrat, but that did not keep her working with Republicans. Because the Third District is the most politically diverse (more R’s than D’s).

Her husband Don passed a few years ago, so she and Don are reunited again. Every birthday, I would post a Happy Birthday on Facebook and occasionally she would send me a message on Facebook or a text. She was a delightful person.
