Tonight i traveled over to Blount County (Maryville) for the meeting of the Blount County Republican Women a Federation of Republican Women club since 1965. A Federation of Republican Women Club still eludes Knox County.
Blount County Property Assessor Todd Orr talked about the county’s assessment. it seems the average increase is 50%. This is this year for Blount County’s reassessment, notices should be received in April.
Blount County Republican Chair Scott Stuart completing his second term as Chair and is term limited. Spoke about the reorganization, Blount County has always reorganized by precincts and will again reorganize by precincts.
Blount County District Attorney Ryan Desmond talked about the “313 Initiative” that Knox County DA Charme Allen, Desmond and other DAs are joining together to stop the drug trafficking from Detroit, MI
