Smith holds huge lead on fundraising against Democratic opponent

Knoxville, Tenn.Last quarter’s financial report showed that Commissioner Randy Smith holds a large lead over his Democratic opponent in fundraising leading into the last month before early voting begins for the 3rd District race for County Commissioner.

The final total for the April report had Chairman Smith holding a balance of $40,720.74 cash on hand, with his Democratic opponent reporting a balance on hand of 657.30, with $950 in outstanding loans

Randy Smith currently serves as the Chairman of the Knox County Commission, serving the 3rd district. He has served as Vice Chair of the Knox County Commission in 2017, the Chairman of the Knox County Finance Committee from 2015 to 2017, and serves on The Development Corp. Board of Directors.

“There are many things I feel compelled to fight for over the next four years for the third district and all of Knox County. It has been an honor and a privilege to represent the people of the third district,” said Chairman Smith. “With the 3rd District’s help we can continue to move Knox County forward over the next four years.”
