Two pieces of legislation for the upcoming 2006 legislative session that will be introduced by my State Representative Park M. “Parkey” Strader will be

1) A one year moratorium on lobbyist providing meals for legislator’s

2) Declaring English as the official language.

This past year, was Parkey’s first year in the legislature (he replaced retired legislator H.E. Bittle). Our district has been served by exceptional talent over the years. Representative Bittle had a distinguished career serving the district and in house leadership for a number of years.

Parkey is always responsive and works hard in representing the district. This certainly was a unique year to serve your first year in the legislature, with the arrest of Democrat Senator John Ford, Democrat Senator Katherine Bowers, Democrat Senator Ward Crutchfield and Republican Representative Chris Newton.

No one could stand taller for us than Parkey. Keep up the good work.
