In the most bizarre announcements that I have seen or heard, The Swamp Rat Dewey Warren announced that he will be back on the air doing Sports Talk radio from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on WKVL AM 850 which will be simulcast on WATO 1290 AM Oak Ridge, WLOD 1140 AM Sweetwater and WGAP 1400 Am Blount and Sevier County.

What made this announcement so bizarre? You ask. He announced it on The Voice radio program hosted by Lloyd Daugherty and Kelvin Moxley on WVLZ 1180 Am. WVLZ’s trademark radio program is Tony Bassilo which runs from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.

That means that the Swamp Rat will be attempting to compete head to head with Bassilo and Lloyd allowed the Swamp Rat to announce it on the competing airwaves.

I am and will continue to be an avid listener to Bassilio from 11:00 am – 1:00pm (he’s independent) and I felt it was a low blow to announce Tony’s competitor on the same station that Tony is on.
