Since I reported that Mike Donila Former Big Metal Shed on the Hill reporter is leaving Straight from the Heart WBIR as an Investigative reporter to become a Knox County government bureaucrat.

I have been getting messages from long time Knox County employees that have been offered early retirement packages and have felt presssure to accept them, do not understand why they are being asked to retire to “save the taxpayers money” but now they read that Knox County is hiring Donila.

I have assured them what they believe Donila is being offered in compensation and benefits is likely not that high. But it will be public record, just as the job posting, resumes considered and job interview notes and there will be a time for someone to review them, shine the light on them so they can find their way.
