The four Republican Candidates for Knox County Circuit Court Clerk are all scheduled to appear at the Volunteer Republican Women Meeting today. Today’s meeting is a rescheduled one from two weeks ago when inclement weather hit Knoxville causing the Club to reschedule.

Don Ridings, Scott Smith, Charlie Susano and Tim Wheeler are the four announced candidates. The filing deadline is not until NOON on February 15, 2018.

I will be unable to attend this meeting as I have a previous commitment. So while this is the first, it won’t be the last.

Whoever is successful in the May 1, 2018 Republican Primary currently will have to face Democrat Sheri Ridgeway on August 2. She has picked up a petition from the Knox County Election Commission as well.
