On Tuesday there is a local gathering supporting State Representative Eddie Smith, Smith serves as the Knox County Legislative Delegation Chairman. He will be up for re-election in the August 2016 Republican primary and the November 2016 General election. TN law does not allow him to raise money while the legislature is in session from January until first to middle of April.

It appears the Democrats have decided to allow (although they are not convinced she can win) former one term State Rep. Gloria Johnson to challenge Smith. Smith beat Johnson last year.

So, if you have the ability, send Eddie’s campaign a check, money order, wire transfer, cash. Anything to keep Gloria as a former State Rep, former Special Ed instructor.
