This story from August 28, 2020 when Knox County Commissioner Larsen Jay along with former Parks and Rec Director Paul White and Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs announced the Knox County Water Trail and a commitment of $425,000 over several years.

A kayak boat launch was unveiled and as I recall Aubreys Restaurant Corporation have several thousand dollars for the boat launch. In less than five months what is the status of the boat launch? These photos were taken today 1/26/2021 about 11 a.m.

When Commissioner Terry Hill announced last night at Commission, we have failed, she wasn’t talking about this Water Trail. But at this point, I’d would concur.

I have asked Mike Donila of the Mayor’s office to contact the Interim Director  with Parks and Recreation for a statement.
