The Knoxville News Sentinel reports that Mike McMillan (a four year school board member) intends to join with Patty Bounds and Tony Norman to look into the social studies work sheets due to a complaint by a STate Rep candidate. It is interesting that McMillan a former high school history teacher is taking an interest only after a news report.

McMillan has served as a board member and one year as School Board Chairman so he would if he had been paying attention, he and other board members would have examined it before it was utilized in the classroom. McMillan quit (retired) from the the school system in 2008 after an investigation revealed some alleged testing irregularity and inappropriate material in the classroom. Read that story, here.
