UPDATE: I am told that Eddie voted “present and not voting” on the motion to lay on the table and then voted “no” on the final bill. Sam McKenzie on the final vote on the bill voted “present and not voting”.

In my humble opinion, there is NEVER a reason to vote “present and not voting”. You were elected to cast the yeah’s and nay’s NOT present to collect a check. But I digress.
Original Post: Back on February 25, 2021 here I posted about a letter where Eddie Mannis was telling committee members about a piece of legislation sponsored by Rep. Scott Cepicky that he thought was just egregious.

Last night on the State House Floor was the bill was up for a vote. Several Democrats spoke against it, including Knoxville Representatives Sam McKenzie and Gloria Johnson. Eddie Mannis was no where to be seen or heard.

I guess the leaking of a letter to the media back home (for a headline) is more effective than actually speaking on the House Floor. Where o Where was Eddie?
