Today’s airing of Tennessee This Week, where Kristen Farley filling in for Gene Patterson had County Commissioner Dr. Richard Briggs on the program. He discussed his potential challenge to State Senator Stacey Campfield.

In discussing his campaign, Briggs kept referring to his campaign as “we”. Which brings to question who is the “we”? Is this an indication that Briggs is running as a voice or vote for another person or a group of persons? Is it because Briggs who last voted in Senator Becky Duncan Massey’s district and has moved relatively recent into Campfield’s district?

Briggs name is the only name on the ballot box for him. He should speak for himself and not talk from a shield of a group of “we”.
